Are you dyslexic or think you are dyslexic? Age 16 or over and live in Fife? It is well known that many dyslexics are also creative individuals. If you would like to find out more about being creative then the Unique Dyslexic Project is for you.
Come along to a free workshop on the 15th March at the Lochgelly Centre from 10am to 2pm where you will learn to make a unique piece of artwork from glass. The Centre is easily accessible by public transport and a disability friendly venue. Lunch will be provided and is free of charge.
Travel expenses will also be paid - please bring along receipts and present them to Steve McCue (Event Organiser) for reimbursement. This workshop is an introduction to the wonderful world of fused glass! Book into this FREE workshop (limited places!) to learn from experts about the condition and try your hand at being creative in glass!
Note: this workshop takes place at the Lochgelly Centre.
In this workshop you will be introduced to the wonderful world of fused glass and create an artwork you will want to show everyone who visits! Taught by Stacey Galfskiy (BA/Hons Illustration) of Chillilicious, this workshop is for complete fused glass beginners. You will be able to create an artwork up to the size of a 20x20cm plate. How use this is up to you! You can create any shape or image within the working space using a mosaic style technique of placing pre-cut pieces of colourful glass together to make up your artwork... jewellery, sun catchers, plates, coasters, anything goes and all you need to bring is an open mind and your enthusiasm.
Artworks created on the day will be shipped to your address the following week as they require a 12 hour fuse in our special glass kiln to melt into the wonderful design you will have created!
